Our Community of Mt. Shasta has been given a Great Gift! Coleman Barks, renowned Poet and Translator of Rumi and Lisa Starr, Poet Laureate of Rhode Island, have graciously committed to an evening of inspirational poetry and music at the College of the Siskiyous in Weed, Ca., June 21, 2010 at 7:30 pm. BELLY a feature length documentary by Full Tilt Boogie, and Cecilia Rinn’s feature directorial debut has been submitted to 5 film festivals for consideration into national film festivals. We are totally excited about this new release!

Carmine has been here all week and in addition to 2 shows and a workshop, we are hard at work recording.
Lots of exciting music and for those of you who felt something was missing from Vol 5, PAT WILL BE SINGING

'West of East' is a unique selection of PANGIA's wide range: original compositions that include amazing soundscapes of taxims for tribal style, as well as several traditional songs lovingly arranged and updated that dancers will relish performing to. Acoustic instrumentation including Oud, Yalli Tambor, Cumbus and exotic percussion all played & arranged by Pat Olson. Carmine was with us in California for over a week and in addition to several shows and workshops, we managed to have quite a few recording sessions. We have begun working on our next CD and we are very excited about it! If all goes well, it should be ready in March!
